It’s time to hide as deep in the woods as I can. A man stomps behind me, dressed in camouflage with a bow in his hand. My short legs sprint fast over the sticks and damp leaves, and I think maybe I can dig a hole. All I can hear is the echoing of shouting, a name “Barney,” and I know he has a dog. I hide behind a tree, but it's too thin for the man to not see me.

I creep through the forest, trying not to get caught. I step on a branch and realize a hunter is coming. I run through the forest and try to run away. But a hunter catches me and picks me up. Next thing I know, I am in a big building and a man says, “I Joseph R. Biden pardon this turkey.”

I didn't think much of it when someone took me away from the pen me and my friends and family were kept in, but when people were starting to treat me better, I also didn't have a second thought about it because I'm a turkey. A person placed me in a fancy place that I had never seen in my short life time yet. I wonder what is to happen. Something black and shiny is put in front of me and is pointed right at me. Then I hear an old man begin to make some weird noises. There is a giant piece of cloth with red, white, and blue on the wall, and the old man in a black cloth tries to pick me up while flashing his teeth at the black shiny thing.

I’m a turkey named Wilson. Gobble, gobble. I get baked in the oven. Gobble, Gobble. I get placed on the table. Gobble, gobble. I get eaten. Gobble, gobble. That is the end of my life story. Gobble, gobble.
